Why Salt?

Jenavira at Essais brings up a good question about why modern Pagans use salt on their alters and because of her research on the subject, she decides that she will use plain, simple, cheap dirt from her garden.

I think she has a good point.

I agree. I use dirt also.

I use soil, coffee beans or tea leaves for Earth. I've actually not used salt.

Coffee beans or tea leaves - that would make for a very fragrant alter. :)
