Guest Blogger: Mike

Introducing our third guest blogger, Mike from Chicago, IL! In his own words:

Hi all! My name is Mike, and I write at the blog, Unknowing Mind. If you pay my blog a visit, you'll see that I write about a number of topics, including Darwinism, animals, meaningful quotes, memetics, some poetry, etc. But my primary topic is Buddhism.

It's my view that we all have a personal mythology that we live. For some people, that's the Christian myths, for others, materialism/atheistic myths (the myth of no supernaturalism). For me, that's Buddhism. I was raised Catholic, and studied deeply into Pagan paths, Qabalah (back before it was in vogue :) ), Wicca, and even Christianity. Then, a few years out of college, I picked up a book on Buddhism and was amazing at how well it described my life experiences! No other religion had done that. So I started studying more deeply, and have since chosen it as my personal mythology.

I've got a MS in electrical engineering, and in 2 1/2 weeks I'm beginning work on my PhD. I'm a certified Massage Therapist. And I love studying Darwinism, Religion/Spirituality, and Mythology. Hopefully I can bring an interesting perspective to our chosen topics on this guest blogging stint!

Thanks for having me!

I would like to thank Mike for agreeing to be a guest blogger. If you would like to see some of Mike's writing, check out his blog, Unknowing Mind.

I look forward to what you and the others have to say as well.

I will try to get internet access something this week, but I don't know if I will be able to. If not, then I look forward to reading it when I get back. (I'm going to have a lot of reading to do!)
